Am I the only one who is fairly annoyed at the fact that CIV is going to be in LA? I mean, really. I was intending for this to be a big long rant about it, like I said I would make about three weeks ago. But I just can't find the words to rightly complain about it. The fact that they're saying they wanted to make it in a place where people would want to go anyways? Like people want to go to LA for touristy reasons and CIV is another reason to go?

What is there to do in LA that's so exciting? Does anyone have any idea? Also the fact that there's maybe one hotel within the first few blocks of the convention center and the rest you'd have to walk far/shuttle to. I'm sure all the chicks in their crazy Padme costumes will want to shuffle onto a hot, nasty shuttle to get to the con center and I'm sure the Chiss in their blue makeup will love to have it run as their walking down the street to get to the con.

Don't all convention centers also have a closing time? I know the one in Baltimore does after a mishap my friend had at Otakon one year. It was 1 or 2 and they rushed everyone out because the con center was closing. So you're letting a bunch of wide-awake, mostly teenagers go out into the streets of Baltimore at 2 in the morning to find something to do. So we're going to let a bunch of Star Wars geeks out on the streets at a certain time of night to wander aimlessly back to their hotel and stuff? Oh wait, that's right, there will be shuttles. Yes, that'll be great. Everyone waiting in line for two hours to get back to their hotels because they're only running about a shuttle and a half to each one.

And to quote Kagai from Kriff This: "The news would be all like DRIVE BYS ON STAR WARS NERDS, TONIGHT AT 10."

Celebration III did not astound me in any way. The fact that all those hotels were right there was nice, because I could go rest in my room in the middle of the day. The EU panels were about the only thing I enjoyed, but I can find out all the information from those online after they happen. So to put it bluntly, screw Celebration IV.

Oh and I was reading some of the past threads from the Supernova game on both the Kriff This board and the Supernova board. I have decided everyone there is crazy and I really like it. I will now be doing my best to become more active in it, I'll be posting with Jag at some point tonight. But for now I have to go out to lunch with the parents. What fun.

Damn, I will also find an icon tonight.

My icon hunting skills are horrible. That, and I had been busy with finishing up school, so I haven't really had a chance to look for anything good.

I guess I'll have to sit down this weekend and look for some.

Thanks to everyone who put me on their friends list thing. I promise I'll actually write something in here worthwhile someday soon. Maybe I'll rant about Celebration 4 or something.

I guess I'll stick with this one. I like the setup and the colors. Now all I need is some of those icon picture things. Hunting time. How exciting.
